Has anyone heard of luuux?

Luuux is a new website that iv recently discovered, at first i was slightly sceptical as, in all honesty it does seem too good to be true, but then i thought what have a got to lose?!

basically the way the website works is very similar to what alot of you beauty bloggers are doing already! you earn luuux $ by writing articles on fashion, design, entertainment, health and beauty or technology, commenting on other peoples posts or having people comment on your posts.. it really is a very simple concept!

In return for each of the above actions you recieve luuux $s which basically act as currency on the site, in return for these $ you can buy luxury and cult, high end items!

for the first time on this blog no makeupp :) just redyed and bleached my hairr, took forever!

tonight im just going to sit in and watch xfactor with my boyfriend, long distance relationships suck pretty bad right now but the next best thing atm is sitting in his oversized tshirts, watching shitty tv together over the phone. Fortunately i booked to see him last night but train tickets were so expensive i could only afford to book for 3 weeks time, but its better than nothing im just excited to see him at all :)

so basically i got contacted on youtube by this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/rimmellondon for a possible collab..

im always ussually suspicious of anyone asking to do things like this because nine out of ten times when i get emails and such, its an obvious scam and doesnt look legit in the slightest, however with this being a more well known company id be willing to look into it etc. i know and support their products and know that they work well.

this was bought as a last resort whilst on holiday as i couldnt find any of my beloved silver shampoo :( but i am SO glad i did! this shampoo takes about 2 washes to see definite results but my hair feels softer, shinier and looks an all around brighter blonde colour.. i hate when my hair goes brassy, but sometimes silver shampoo can leave it feeling dry and brittle so this product is a life saver in between colours! i highly reccomend!

and lastly iv started a new blog.. no, im not giving up on this one! my new blogs more of a personal thing aside from beauty and makeup, a place to post my drawings & art, life stuff, random pictures i find and some of my tattoo designs/inspiration.. id really appreciate anyone taking a look at it ( and even maybe following? ;)) find it here

jacking this all in, iv had so much neg feed back on youtube atm that i jus feel like why bother.. i only make videos to help people, its of no personal gain to me, yet everytime i log onto youtube recently i find messages off people criticising me and its not even constructive, its just hurtful. i just dont see why people feel the need to tell me stuff like this, and while i find it very difficult not replying and saying things back i know it wouldnt make me feel better and it would just take me down to their level. Ugh it makess ya feel kinda crappy.

so anyways i'm thinking of stopping youtube for a while, it takes guts to put videos up and this has completely knocked my confidence.

rant overrrr, il carry on with blogging as much as i can, this weeks pretty busy though - so many deadlines! cant wait to be off for christmass :)

also iv been messing around with photoshop recently, im trying to get better at it in time for my next photography project, i want to do some sort of fashion, indie style portraits.. in these ive just used filters and darkening at the edges in order to create a vintage kind of feel :)

just to kind of let you know whats going on atm :)

i have so much that i'm excited about!

im starting my new job tomorrow at a clothes shop, its taken a while to get everything sorted but i finally got my start date this weekend, and, although it means some very early starts (5.30am anyone?) the pay/perks are pretty good, so expect a few more haul posts in the future :) i know iv already started my wishlist. Also, i mentioned this in a post a while ago but, as im going to have money i think i'm probably going to start collecting and putting items into a competition prize, i have so many loyal followers and subscribers on here and on youtube you all deserve some sort of thanks! if you could comment below on what sort of things you'd like to see i'd reaally appreciate it.. i'l put up a more detailed post closer to the time i'm guessing :)

Im also starting a new fashion project in which im going to make dress and a pair of wings, im so looking forward to getting started iv been collecting tons of inspirational images; im mainly looking at the fall 08 runways as im really feeling the gothic vibe atm :) iv only done one sort of illustration so far, but it kind of gives an idea of what i want to create;

i got the MAC holiday eyes palette "smoke and mirrors" yesterday so expect a review, looks and swatches post within the next few days, can i just say though its extremeeelyy gorgeous, sometimes i find when i really look forward to buying things like this i can be dissapointed in the product when i finally get it.. this is not one of those timesss ;).

Its a sad day! I opened my fave sleek palette (the original) this morning to find that 3 of the eyeshadows (the green, the olive-green and the pale yellow) are cracked and all over the place. Im particularly sad as the pale yellow was one of my absoloute faves and it's turned to dust :(

I just wanted to say sorry for not posting recently, the reason for this that its been my first 2 weeks at college and every things been a bit hectic! in fact iv already dropped one subject (oops!)

As a present for doing well in my exams, my mum took me to the staff shop at the airport, where there is a whole wall of discounted cosmetics: mac, ysl, clinique.. everything! Yes, i was literally in heaven!

So, here's what i bought:

After seeing bubblegarms recent post showing how she arranged all her jewelery etc. , it looked so pretty and nice, and after looking at the mess of stuff in my own room, i decided it was time for me to get organized! First place i knew i needed to clear was my overflowing makeup draws, i just realised what a state it was in.. seriously i had makeup in there, never used, that was atleast a couple of years old! it's shameful!

so... after a couple of hours work - the final result..

okay.. so its not perfect but definatly, muchly improved!

My very first face of the day!

Kind of a peach and brown, shimmery, smokey eye lined underneath with bright purple
i used the peach and the purple from the original sleek pallette, and the matte brown and black from the sleek storm pallete for crease and upper liner
On the rest of my face i used you rebel lite with some loose mineral powder to set, jelly pong pong hawaiian sun bronzer and mac pink swoon blush, natural collection moisture shine lipstick in apple blossom topped with maybelline watershine liquid vinyl lipgloss in Peach pit.

So this is my entry to XcatherinesbombX's Moulin rouge themed contest.
